Rocky Mountain Birding Trip - 2008

This page contains information and photos from the sixth out-of-state birding trip for the "Wagtail Senior Birding Club". The trip took place June 4-14, 2008 to Colorado, Wyoming and Utah. Our itinerary:
June 4 - "Yours Truly", Dency Kahn, Karen Crebs, Elliot Glassman and Dave Pierce fly from St. Louis, Missouri to Denver, Colorado - Bird at Doudy Draw, Gregory Canyon and Walden Ponds in Boulder, Colorado. Stay overnight in Denver, Colorado;
June 5 - Bird at Chico Basin Ranch near Colorado Springs, Colorado with Charles Thornton-Kolbe of Nestling Tours and his friend Ira, stay overnight in Denver;
June 6 - Bird at Rocky Mountain National Park with guide, Norm Lewis of Nestling Tours and drive to Ft. Collins, Colorado - stay overnight in Ft. Collins;
June 7- Bird at Pawnee National Grasslands in Colorado with Norm Lewis of Nestling Tours and drive to Laramie, Wyoming - stay overnight in Laramie;
June 8 - Bird at Bamforth NWR and Hutton Lake NWR near Laramie, and Snowy Range Scenic Byway near Centennial, then Saratoga, Wyoming - stay overnight in Rawlins, Wyoming;
June 9 - Bird at Seedskadee NWR and Little Firehole Canyon Road near Rock Springs, Wyoming - stay overnight in Rock Springs;
June 10 - Bird at Flaming Gorge, Dinosaur National Park and Ouray NWR, Utah - stay overnight in Vernal, Utah;
June 11 - Drive toward Salt Lake City, Utah and along the way bird at Strawberry Reservoir in the Wasatch Mountains, Brigham City and Bear River MBR near Brigham City, pick up guide, Bill Fenimore in Layton, Utah and drive to Evanston, Wyoming, then bird at Deseret Ranch, Utah - stay overnight in Evanston;
June 12 - Bird all day at Deseret Ranch, Utah with Bill Fenimore - stay overnight in Evanston;
June 13 - Bird all day at Mirror Lake Scenic Byway in the Uintah Mountains, Utah with Bill Fenimore - drive to Layton, Utah and stay there overnight;
June 14 - Bird at Antelope Island Great Salt Lake State Park and at Bill Fenimore's backyard in Farmington, Utah - fly from Salt Lake City to St. Louis, Missouri.
